How to use Canon.

A complete walkthrough from first login to final decision. Read the overview below, then run through the six interactive steps. Every demo is live — click everything.

01
What Canon is

Your credit narrative engine.

Canon sits between LendingQB (your LOS of record) and underwriting. It reads every document in a loan file, verifies every fact against its source, and produces the submission memo the underwriter reads. It does not replace LendingQB. It does not approve loans. It writes the story.

02
How it works

Three stations. One file. Zero drift.

You open a loan. Canon pulls it from LendingQB, runs the program rule pack, parses every document with Claude Opus 4.7, and writes the memo in about 90 seconds. Processors verify facts, resolve contradictions, and pick a stance. Underwriters read, check evidence, and decide — and Canon writes the decision back to LendingQB.

03
Why it matters

Every claim traces to a page.

Non-QM files break when the story is scattered. Canon threads every number to its source document — or labels it unresolved. It never guesses. Every run is auditable, every edit is recorded, and every contradiction between LendingQB and the source documents surfaces before the file reaches underwriting.

04
What to do right now

Walk the six steps below.

Each tab shows a real station inside Canon — Open → Draft → Verify → Compose → Decide → Done. Click the interactive mockups: open files, generate drafts, verify facts, change the memo stance, click evidence, approve. When you're done, open your real files at canon.mbanc.ai/my-files.

Quickstart
If you only remember five things.
  1. 1
Start at My Files. The Attention Queue ranks loans by what needs action — contradictions, exceptions, then open UW feedback.
  2. 2
LO draft is your starting point, not the final memo. Click Generate LO Draft, review the confidence scores, push to the processor.
  3. 3
Verify on the Facts tab. Use V / D / O — verify, dispute, or override. Every action logs with your ID.
  4. 4
Pick a stance before composing. Evidence-first for clean files. Mitigation-heavy when there's a flag to address. The memo rewrites itself.
  5. 5
Underwriters click claims to see evidence. Then Approve, Suspend, or Decline. The decision writes back to LendingQB automatically.

Step 01Any Role

Open the loan you own.

Start at My Files. Every loan where you're LO, processor, or underwriter shows up with role-aware counts.

The Attention Queue ranks files by open-items score — contradictions first, then pending exceptions, then open UW feedback.

Canon is ready.
Your next memo traces every claim to a page.
"Canon writes the canon. Once Canon states a fact, that fact should be defensible in an audit."
Canon

Non-QM files lose time. Canon ends that.

The story is scattered — application data, bank statements, title notes, appraisal figures, processor hunches. Canon holds it all.

Every claim traces to evidence.

If a fact isn't backed by a source document, Canon labels it unresolved — it doesn't guess.

Contradictions surface early.

LO-stated, LendingQB-recorded, parser-derived, and document-verified values reconciled before UW reads.

Every handoff is remembered.

Comments from LO to processor to UW stay with the file — forever, threaded, searchable.

Every run is auditable.

Prompt, rules, model, edits recorded. Regenerate a memo from six months ago and get the same memo.

Canon never claims approval.

It recommends framing. Underwriting decides. "Approved" does not appear in a Canon memo.

One source of truth.

LendingQB is the LOS of record. Canon is the narrative on top. No duplicate entry. No drift.

Common questions.

Tap any question.

No. LendingQB stays the system of record. Canon reads from LendingQB, builds narratives on top, writes UW decisions back.
Every claim has verify / dispute / override on the processor side. Edits tracked with ID, timestamp, reason. Full audit trail stays with the file.
No. Canon never uses the word "approved." It produces a submission memo with recommended framing. The underwriter decides.
